Clinton Fun Days

Tim, preparing for Clinton's 5 K Fun Run. His boss Donna, paid for his entry fee and ran with him.

Tim crossing the finish line. Go Tim! He finished third in his age group.

Tim was in the parade dressed as the Taco Del Mar dude. He seemed to enjoy himself a little too much. He looks a little like my brother Steve.

Dave and Mike not enjoying the Clinton Parade. (I made them go with me)

Can I play with the buttons?

This is the car I want!

Happy Fourth of July

Tim always seems to zero in on the best looking girl at the party.
This is a picture of yours truly winning $20.00 bucks by beating everyone under the Limbo stick. Tim said "mom I didn't know you could bend that way." After 4 rum and cokes, I can bend any way. Dave looks like he has had a few too many.
We had a blast 4th of July. Our friends, Clair and John invited us over to their annual block party.

Camping at Granite Flats

Our first official family vacation of the year began June 2. Dave, myself, Tim, Michael, and two of his friends spent two glorious nights in the beautiful mountains of Utah. This picture does not do this lake justice. This area reminds me of Europe.

Tim had to work the night before we drove to the camp ground, so he met up with us the next day. This is the farthest Tim has driven by himself, and remarkably he didn't get lost.

Dave holding baby girl Abby Johnson. Our friends Mike and Jen met up with us at camp for dinner and brought thier brood with them.

Michael takes unsuspecting friends, Brenden and Daniel on their first Snipe hunt. Let the games begin :)

MORP

Tim has had a crush on this girl since 6th grade. He finally got the courage to ask her out.

Tim and Becky Peterson going to MORP. MORP is PROM spelled backward. A couple of weeks ater prom, the schools traditionaly throws another dance and the dress is very casual. I think it's just another excuse to have a dance.

Annual Family Photo

It's time for the Wittner's annual family photo in front of the Blue Spruce. Some were more willing then others. You kids are going to thank me someday for making you pose.

A Parting Prayer

On Thursday, May 11, we unexpectedly lost one of our beloved members of our family. I came home from work that day to find Logan acting a little funny. I decided to take her to the vets just to be sure nothing was wrong. X-rays reveled a massive growth around her heart. Her lungs were filled with fluid and she was having problems breathng. The vet said she was in a lot of pain a didn't think she would make it through the night. We decided to put her to sleep. This is a lttle prayer I found on the internet; I found it to be very fitting.

Dear Lord, please open your gates and call St. Francis to come escort this beloved companion across the Rainbow Bridge. Assign her to a place of honor, for she has been a faithful servant and has always done her best to please me. Bless the hands that send her to you, for they are doing so in love and compassion, freeing her from pain and suffering. Grant me the strength not to dwell on my loss. Help me remember the details of her lifewith the love she has shown me and grant me the courage to honor her by sharing those memories with others. Let her remember me as well and let her know that I will always love her. When it's my time to pass over into your paradise, please allow her to accompany those who will bring me home. Thank you Lord for the gift of her companionship and for the time we've had together. Thank you Lord for granting me the strength to give her to you now. Amen.

Spring Picture

The Wisteria is finally producing it's first blossoms ever.

Just a real pretty picture of our side yard.

Sledding Fun

Mike and Zach enjoying a Polish dog.

Men are so simple, all thay need is food and love and the occasional ride on a snowmobile. It looks like jen has covered the love part.

Awww isn't that sweet. Even after 18 years of mariage, there's still a little spark of romance.

Saturday was the last snowmobile ride of the year. Dave, Mike, Tim and I went to Monte Cristo for one last ride. We went with our good friends, the Johnson's and their kids. This is a picture of Mad Dog Mike catching some giant air after Big Mike Johnson made some alterations (Jump) to the sled path.

Track

Thursday Mike had his first track meet. He ran in the distance competition and finsihed about 15 out of a group of 40. Not bad for his first meet.

Easter

Easter dinner was a success! The highlight of the dinner had to be the spiral cut smoked ham. Delicious! Chris made the mashed potatoes, Tim helped with the pickle tray and Mike did the dishes. We even pursuaded Chris to join in a family game of Cranium.

Easter Flowers

What a beautiful basket of flowers. Thank you Mom and Dad Wittner for making my day. We are so thankful that the surgery went well. I'm glad Dave was a big help.

Last Ride at Nobletts

Me, having fun on our last ride of the season. Our original trip was only planned for about 60 miles round trip. Unfortunatley, our trip leader didn't know the snow had begun to melt at the lower elevations. We ran into about ten miles of muddy road. Who needs four-wheelers? We ended up doing about 80 miles total, finally pulling into the parking lot on fumes and prayers.

Check out Dave's mohawk, it matches his sled and his jacket.

Yesterday, Dave and I went on our last club ride of the season. We couldn't have asked for better weather. We stopped here for lunch and some high-marking fun. Check out the small avalanche far left. Avalanche conditions were extremly high and most of our group used their brains and stayed off of the loose stuff. However, we did have a few who tempted fate.

Paintball Wars

Michael and friends took advanage of the great weather and played paintball out at a farm in Hooper.

Michael's war wound from a round of paintball with some friends.

Soccer Game

Tim at his first soccer game of the season. They lost 2-1.

Tall Fences Make Good Neighbors

What's different in this picture? If you guessed that you can't see the backdoor neighbor's trashy back yard, you would be correct. Dave and I grew weary of seeing trash blown up against the fence, so we decided to put up a privacy fence. Hopefully this privacy fence will also stop the neighbors dogs from barking at us everytime we go outside.

Date Night

Welcome to Wittner's Bistro. Tim made sure the mood was set; notice the candles.

Tim grilled chicken and vegatable kabobs for his friends while Chris, Mike, and I went out to Wendy's for a burger. Hmmm, that doesn't seem quite right does it.

Tim, Kimberely, Mandy and Nate, all working up their apetite with a fun game of pool.

Blogging Problems

Sorry folks, but blogspot is experiencing difficulties uploading photos. I will try and post some photos later today.

Yesterday Tim bought his first car. It's a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am. He really got it at a steal. He has been on cloud nine ever since. Tim has been working two jobs trying to save up enough money to buy himself a nice car. We are very pleased that he accomplished his goal. Okay now, everybody stay off the side walks, Tim's coming!

Chris celebrated his 20th birthday at our house. We offered to take him out to eat, but he insisted that I make him his favorite German dish called Butter Schnitzle. He has decided to move back in and go back to college. He wants to become an English teacher. Chris is in the process of being certified to substitute teach. His old English teacher has requested him. He will begin substituting next month. We are very proud of him.

This is a picture of Tim and his date Kimberly. She asked him to go to a dance called "Preference". The way she asked him was very creative. She filled a bunch of pink balloons with scraps of paper with the letters of her name printed on the individual scraps. She placed the balloons in his room, and then scattered heart candies through out his room. She made a pink sign that read,
"I'll be tickled pink if you go to the dance with me". She left instructions for him to pop all the balloons and figure out who had asked him to the dance. He knew who it was right away. As you can tell by the pictures, both are dressed to the nines.
